Right livelihood Award 2019!! Ravi Ranjan Yadav






Few days ago I was going through a video by BBC. A16 year old girl was putting her view on an stage regarding the environment,environmental changes,the negligence of world leader towards this serious issues and the ck sequences of these negligence that the future generations will have to suffer.The anger in her voice and the facial expression were enough to tell how serious she is about the environment.
She is just 16 years old and her name is....

And yesterday I came to know that she is awarded the right livelihood prize,which is also known as the" alternative nobel prize too."She is one of the four laureates who will be getting this prize and is a matter if pride in itself to get such prizes at such low age.Her contributions towards the environmental awareness is enough to tell we the young generations that the age is just a number and if we are determined enough to work in any sector , we can.
The  laureates who will be getting this prize are:-
1.Aminatou Haidar (Western Sahara)

2. Guo Jianmei (China)

3. Greta Thunberg (Sweden) and

4.Davi Kopenawa / Hutukara Yanomami Association (Brazil).

Some facts about Right livelihood prize

1.The Right Livelihood Award is an international award to "honour and support those offering practical and exemplary answers to the most urgent challenges facing us today.

2. It was started by  German-Swedish philanthropist Jakob von Uexkull, and is presented
 annually in early December.

3. It is also called as "Alternative nobel prize"

4.  Over the last four decades, 174 people from 70 different countries have been awarded the prize.

5. This one is the 40th anniversary if the right livelihood foundation, who provides the award.

6.The prize money is shared among the winners, usually numbering four, and is EUR 200,000.

7.The award  is presented to the people solving the practical problems in the  fields as environmental protection, human rights, sustainable development, health, education, and peace.
